Deeper understanding
Creating something imprints learning in a lasting, meaningful way.
Creative dance, music and visual arts woven into core curriculum — so children think, feel and understand through the most human forms of expression.

The Arizona Standards for the Arts recognize the arts as essential because they give students the means to think, feel and understand. Meaningful learning integrates higher-order thinking — synthesis, analysis, reasoning and communication — with the creative expression of the arts.
As a teaching and performing artist in New York for ten years, Jill Dianne witnessed the joy that lights up children's faces when they move, paint, draw and make music. Through residencies championing the idea that the arts are literacy, and teacher retreats such as Creating Connections: Dance and the Core Curriculum, she shows educators how to weave the arts into every subject.
